2017 Monster Energy MXGP of USA Hosts Full Slate of Entertainment and Special Events Monster Energy Presents Waka Flocka Flame with DJ Whoo Kid
Jacksonville, Florida - United States - August 20, 2017 -
Youthstream and Unlimited Sports MX, producers of the Monster E of USA, are pleased to announce a full slate of special activities to accompany the 2017 MXGP of USA. The unique four-day event, taking place over Labor Day weekend, will feature the world’s fastest racers as the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross teams take on the FIM World Motocross Championship MXGP teams.
"The weekend begins on Friday, September 1, with the first round of the 35th Florida Gold Cup Series for amateur racers. Pre-registration is available online or at the event for all 34 classes covering all ages and skill levels. Saturday, September 2, the world’s top motocross racers will take to the track starting at 10:45 a.m. for practice, followed by start tests, timed qualifying and qualifying races."

American race fans will be treated to the athleticism of motocross royalty such as eight-time FIM World Champion Antonio Cairoli of Italy, three-time FIM World Champion Jeffrey Herlings of the Netherlands, defending MXGP Champion Tim Gajser of Slovakia, former MXGP Champion Romain Febvre of France, and the American’s challenging the world circuit, Darian Sanayei and Thomas Covington, who was recently selected to represent the United States in the 2017 FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) this coming October 1 in the United Kingdom.
Big Games On The Big Screen
Saturday afternoon the action goes off-track with “Big Games on the Big Screen”, where race fans can catch some of the hottest college football games via a large LED screen during opening weekend, including:

Saturday evening entertainment will continue with the Monster Energy presentation of hip hop college artist sensation Waka Flocka Flame and DJ Whoo Kid at 10 p.m. Based out of Atlanta, Waka Flocka has earned an international following with his band of southern rap, notably showcased on the crossover hits “No Hands” and “Hard in Da Paint.”

His infectious onstage energy is sure to ramp-up race fans. Concert admission is FREE with an MXGP General Admission ticket. World-class racing picks back up on Sunday, September 3, for the main events with MX2 (250cc class) Race 1 at 12:15 p.m., MXGP (450cc class) Race 1 at 1:15 p.m., and second motos at 3:20 p.m. and 4:10 p.m., respectively. The action-packed weekend will wrap-up on Monday, September 4, with a full day of amateur practice on the same racecourse the worlds’ finest athletes competed on the day before.

WW Motocross Park at WW Ranch is primed to host a world-class event, as the facility, which opened in 2013 with a course built by DreamTraxx, was recently rated the #1 Motocross Track in Florida by Motoplayground Magazine.
“We have always wanted to host a national-caliber event. To have the MXGP of USA this year is really a dream come true,” said Double WW Ranch owner, Junior Scarborough. “We are so excited to showcase our track and our facility to the fans and racers that will be traveling here from all over the world. I believe with the team we have brought together, in addition to the city of Jacksonville, we will be prepared to show the fans a spectacular race along with an unforgettable weekend.”

Tickets range from multi-day general admission passes starting Thursday, to Sunday-only main event tickets at $40 for adults, $20 kids (6-11).
