The Outdoors Await Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki With Unique Daytona International Speedway Stop
Corona, Calif. (March 7, 2018) – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders Austin Forkner and Martin Davalos get a break from the tight indoor tracks and will test their skills on the unique motocross-style track along the front straight of the Daytona International Speedway. Forkner looks to extend his two-race win streak on a style of track that suits style well. Davalos is eyeing a comeback after having an up and down night in Atlanta.
With three of nine rounds completed, Forkner is just two points out of first and has two wins to his credit. With a win, he has the opportunity to take over the points lead this weekend in Daytona.
“There is a lot of racing left, but I would love to be able to get another win for the team,” said Forkner. “It will be nice to get back to the normal format and just go out and race for 15 minutes. Hopefully I can get a good start and be able to ride my own race.”
Davalos would love to make Daytona the spot for his first podium of the season. The Ecuadorian has finished on the podium twice at Daytona in his career, with the most recent being just two years ago.
“I’ve always liked riding the different style track at Daytona,” said Davalos. “I train in Florida so I think I’ll feel very at-home during this round. I really want to redeem myself from the ride I had last weekend. My speed was there but so were my mistakes. I’ll be working on getting a good start and hitting my lines each lap.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs on site during Saturday’s pit party. Stop by the team pit area to find what time the riders will be signing.
Saturday’s race from Daytona International Speedway will be broadcast on FS1 or the FOX Sports GO app starting at 7 p.m. ET.
