Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Rested From Break and Ready for High Point Raceway

Corona, Calif. (June 13, 2018) – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner, Joey Savatgy and Garrett Marchbanks return to action after a one-week break re-energized and ready to have their best round yet at High Point Raceway on the Pennsylvania border. Savatgy has tasted victory at High Point before in 2016, Forkner’s previous best was eighth and this will be rookie Marchbanks’ first trip to the circuit.

After last moto’s podium performance, Forkner is looking to carry that momentum into the weekend. With several strong performances at High Point in the past, Forkner is looking forward to making it the best yet.

“It was nice to regroup and have a weekend off,” said Forkner. “I’ve been feeling really good and hopefully we can make another podium happen this weekend. I’ve done okay in the past but know I can do better.”

While the weekend at Thunder Valley had its high and low moments for Savatgy, there was plenty of progress that he plans on taking with him into High Point. The confidence that Savatgy displayed at Thunder Valley will be the same confidence he can show at High Point as a former winner of the race.

“If we left out all the bad that happened in Colorado, we really made some good progress and I know I can turn it around this weekend,” said Savatgy. “I am going to focus on the positives and I think that can help us make it a successful race.”

Marchbanks will show what he can do for the first time at High Point. With his consistency so far this season, he’s expecting to go after another top-10 finish.

“Getting to regroup after doing my first three rounds was good and I can’t wait to get back out there,” said Marchbanks. “It’s been a big learning experience and now we have a streak of four races in a row to keep moving forward and go after some better results.”

The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs at the Monster Energy Kawasaki factory rig before the motos begin on Saturday.

Saturday’s race from High Point Raceway will be broadcast on MAVTV and NBC Sports starting at 1 p.m. ET.
