Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Put The Mud In The Past and Heads To Pacific Northwest

CORONA, Calif. (July 24, 2019) – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo and Garrett Marchbanks are putting the mudfest from Millville behind them and have their focus set on collecting top finishes at the Washougal MX Park. The track in southern Washington is one of the most unique on the circuit with trees lining nearly all the racetrack, and the duo is ready to make the most of their stop in the Pacific Northwest.

With beautiful weather forecast for the weekend in Washougal, Washington, Cianciarulo will be focusing on getting good starts and making as few mistakes as possible. The circuit can be tricky with the shadows changing from moto to moto, but the veteran will look to his good past finishes at Washougal for confidence. Eight rounds are now in the books and Cianciarulo enters the weekend with a 36 point lead.

“To get the win last weekend was huge for us,” said Cianciarulo. “I needed that to help push us towards the finish line because this season, even with the good finishes, has been tough. The competition level is so high and you really have to be on your game every weekend. I’ve had some decent runs at Washougal in the past and I’m glad to see we won’t really be dealing with muddy conditions, which is usually always a factor there.”

Marchbanks lined up for the first time since mid-June and proved he wasn’t afraid of a little wet weather, scoring a top-10 finish. He’s looking to back up that great ride in his first trip to Washougal as a pro this weekend.

“I am looking forward to riding Washougal and continuing to make progress,” said Marchbanks. “It’s been an up and down year and we’re focusing on closing it out with some solid results.”
