BUCKY LASEK TAKES SKATE VERT WIN AT DEW TOUR’S TOYOTA CHALLENGE
Carlsbad, CA – September 21, 2009 – Bucky Lasek seized the Toyota Challenge Skate Vert win held at Salt Lake City’s Energy Solutions Arena this past Friday drawing over 57,000 fans over four days.
The Baltimore native dominated the Skate Vert competition during the jam session ultimately leading him to his second 1st place win of the 2009 season. Lasek seized the win after including a multitude of switch 360’s into his 30 second runs as well as a nose blunt into the gap securing a final score of 90.25. Coming off this weekend’s victory, Lasek is in 1st place in the overall points race for the coveted Dew Cup with a two point lead over his closest competitor and one stop left on the tour.
“I was in a comfort zone that made skating easy. I wasn’t over thinking and I had a good line which was fun. I had an amazing weekend and it feels awesome,” said Lasek on his recent win.
The last stop of the 2009 Dew Tour, PlayStation Pro, will be held next month, October 16th-18th, in Orlando, Florida at the Amway Arena.
