Western Regional Riders Back in Action for One Race This Weekend in Seattle

Corona, Calif. (April 4, 2018) – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy and Adam Cianciarulo are ready to drop the gate for Round 8 of the Western Regional 250SX this weekend at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. To be expected in the typically wet city, the forecast is calling for rain all week, including raceday, making for an unpredictable race. With three rounds remaining, Savatgy is down only nine points while Cianciarulo is just 12 points out of the lead.

After over a month off, Cianciarulo came back and put his KX250F on the podium at the Showdown race in Indianapolis two weeks ago. A title has eluded the Floridian but he’s put himself on a path to go after his first championship. At only 12 points down and two-podium finishes in a row, Cianciarulo has high hopes for another great finish to inch him closer to the top of the standings.

“With the rain, it’s going to be about survival,” said Cianciarulo. “I’m sure we’ll have limited time on the track, but I have a great team behind me that can make sure I have what I need to get to the top.”

Savatgy had a good run going in Indianapolis and overcame a fall to finish 10th. He is still in second in the standings but is ready to get back up on the podium. The conditions will make for an interesting race, giving Savatgy the confidence that he can take advantage of the even playing field in Seattle.
“It was tough to not capitalize on the opportunity to make up valuable points in Indy but that gives me even more motivation to come out swinging in Seattle,” said Savatgy. “I think the weather always makes for an interesting race but I’m looking to make sure we stay in the fight until the final race.”

The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs at NobleRush Motorcycles in Auburn, Washington on Friday, April 6 from 6-7 p.m.
Saturday’s race from CenturyLink Field will be broadcast on FS1 or the FOX Sports GO app starting at 10:00 p.m. ET.
