Unadilla Announces the Return of Grass Track Scrambles to Hallman MX Rewind
Scrambles to Take Place May 31st
New Berlin, NY (May 16, 2019)- Unadilla MX is bringing back the fun of vintage grass track scrambles during Hallman MX Rewind. “We received a lot of great feedback from racers last year when we ran the inaugural grass track scramble", states Unadilla’s Greg Robinson. “We''re going to keep the vintage racing fun going again this year on Friday afternoon once AHRMA cross-country has concluded. We really wanted to stay with the vintage feel of the event and accomplished that with a true grass track layout. And we keep that old school vibe going by starting each race with a rubber band start."
With an eye to appealing to a cross section of racers, six classes have been created. Four will appeal to the true old-time bikes and be structured for two stroke bikes up to 1974 and four stroke bikes up to 1974. The other divisions will be 1975-1980 Open and 1981-1999 Open. “The grass track scrambles are a lot of fun for the older bikes” states Robinson. “There will again be some hills and obviously turns but air time will be kept to a minimum. Last year''s racers loved it and found it one of the highlights of their weekend."
Pre-entry is available for the grass track scrambles by clicking THIS LINK. Racing at Hallman MX Rewind begins on May 31st with the AHRMA cross-country program and grass track scrambles. Motocross on the vintage friendly pro track starts on Saturday, June 1st, with both AHRMA vintage motocross classes as well as the first moto for the promoter support classes. The weekend concludes on Sunday, June 2nd, with AHRMA post vintage motocross and the second moto of the promoter support classes.
