Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasakis Cianciarulo Rides First Win High Into Final Round
CORONA, Calif. (August 23, 2017) – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo
is bringing confidence into the final round at Ironman MX in Crawfordsville, Indiana after riding to his first career moto and overall win at the penultimate round. Justin Hill will return to racing after sitting out several rounds to heal several injuries. Joey Savatgy will remain sidelined after going down in practice at Budds Creek.
The road to Cianciarulo’s first career overall motocross win was a lot longer than he anticipated, making the victory that much sweeter for the Floridian. A win had slipped through his fingers throughout the season, but in Budds Creek it looked as if it came with ease and newfound confidence. Cianciarulo will be using that confidence to try and make it back-to-back wins this weekend.
“When you win, it’s a feeling you don’t want to go away so you better believe I am going to do everything I can to make it happen again,” said Cianciarulo. “My team has been incredible, giving me everything I need to succeed and being able to pay them back is amazing. I am really eager to get to Indiana and do it again.”
Hill had taken some time to recover from some nagging injuries that were preventing him from showcasing his speed. With one round remaining, Hill wanted to go out on a high note and put in two solid motos.
“With injuries it’s tough because as a racer we always want to come back quicker than we should,” said Hill. “We have to listen to what our bodies are telling us and since I wasn’t in the title hunt, it was good to let my body recover. I’d love to have a solid final race to end the season.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki fans are able to get autographs from the team on Saturday morning after their practice sessions. To watch the motos, the NBC Sports Gold pass can be purchased for nonstop coverage. The first 250 Class will be LIVE on MavTV at 1 p.m. ET, while Moto 2 will be slightly delayed until 5:00 p.m. ET on NBC Sports.
