Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Return From Break With Eyes on Top Step of the Podium
CORONA, Calif. (July 17, 2019) – The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team enjoyed a restful weekend off and are back to tackle the hills and sand whoops of Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minnesota. Adam Cianciarulo comes off a second-place finish and is eager to get back on top, while teammate Garrett Marchbanks will rejoin the circuit after taking time off with an injury. Martin Davalos will be taking the weekend off to focus on getting back to 100 percent.
Even though Cianciarulo was happy to finish second overall at RedBud, after claiming the first five out of six overall victories it didn’t feel as satisfying. Cianciarulo took the weekend off to regroup and focus on putting in solid motos for the final five rounds of the season.
“It’s funny when you get on top, you want it to keep going,” said Cianciarulo. “That is the kind of motivation that will keep pushing me these final five rounds of the season. It was nice to get a weekend off after several grueling events. Millville offers challenges of its own and I think we’re ready to make the most of the weekend.”
After going down at High Point Raceway, Marchbanks has been focused on getting back to health so he can ride to his fullest potential. He got the all clear to line up this weekend and is hoping to make the most of his first trip to Millville.
“I’m so happy to be back and we really took our time to make sure I was ready,” said Marchbanks. “The worst thing we could have done was come back too early with nothing on the line so I’m really happy to be at 100 percent and line up this weekend. Millville looks like an interesting track and I’ll be leaning on my amazing team to get me quickly up to speed.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs at the team semi-truck on Saturday, July 20. Head to the truck in the pits to collect a mandatory wristband for the signing, usually around 9 a.m.
Saturday’s race from the Spring Creek National will be broadcast on MAVTV for Moto 1 on July 20 at 2 p.m. ET, while the Moto 2 races will be delayed on NBC Sports July 21 at 1 a.m. ET. All racing can be found live using an NBC Gold subscription.
