Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Ready to Shine Under The Bright Lights of Las Vegas
Corona, Calif. (May 2, 2018) – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo and Joey Savatgy have one more chance to bring home the team’s 150th supercross victory this weekend at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. The duo has traded wins the past two years with Cianciarulo celebrating victory in 2017 and Savatgy in 2016. Even with teammates Austin Forkner and Martin Davalos still sidelined, the stats and the most recent double podium give the team a fighting chance for one final supercross victory in 2018.
The momentum in Cianciarulo’s favor is strong with the Floridian collecting his fourth-straight podium finish this past weekend. With three runner-up finishes, Cianciarulo is eager to finally make it to the top step of the podium.
“I’ve always loved racing in Vegas and feeling the energy and excitement that builds around the showdown race,” said Cianciarulo. “While the pressure of a title fight is not really there, I’ve put the pressure on myself to go after that final win. I know I can do it and I’m feeling confident that we can bring it home.”
Savatgy broke through for his fourth podium of the season and would love to repeat his 2016 Las Vegas performance this weekend. He already has a win under his belt, but to round out the season with a victory is how Savatgy wants to close out the 2018 supercross season.
“We were really close to that win last weekend and I am bringing lots of confidence to Las Vegas,” said Savatgy. “I’ve run well here plenty of times and know that we have a chance to end the season on a high note.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs at RideNow Powersports on Boulder Hwy in Las Vegas on Friday, May 4 from 6-7 p.m.
Saturday’s race from Sam Boyd Stadium will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 or the FOX Sports GO app starting at 10 p.m. ET.
