Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Keeping Eyes On The Prize At Ironman Finale
CORONA, Calif. (August 21, 2019) – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo, Garrett Marchbanks and Martin Davalos are eager to line up for the final round of the season at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana. With a 30-point lead and two motos remaining, Cianciarulo has shown diligence in learning from his past mistakes and is ready to prove he’s worthy of standing on the top step at the final round. He’ll be joined by Davalos and Marchbanks who are looking to close out the season with strong finishes aboard their Kawasaki KX250 machines.
All eyes will be on the No. 92 of Cianciarulo as he goes after his first No. 1 plate in the Pro Motocross series. His breakout year comes with six overall victories and five additional podium finishes. In his last outing at Ironman, Cianciarulo took home a second overall, hoping his confidence at the track will bring home another great finish.
“I am really happy we have the points cushion coming into the final round,” said Cianciarulo. “We’ve worked hard this year and I really want to bring home a championship for the whole team who has busted their butt every round to make me look good. I would love nothing more than to repay them for their hard work.”
In his final 250 class race, Davalos is ready to put it all out there as the season comes to a close. He picked up some great momentum and needed confidence at Budds Creek, leaving him in a great position to finish out the season strong.
“If you take out Moto 2 last week, I was feeling really good and was happy to be racing up at the front,” said Davalos. “It’s been a long year of ups and downs and I am looking forward to making the most of the last race.”
Marchbanks was starting to find some momentum of his own at Budds Creek when he tweaked his ankle in Moto 1 and was forced to sit out the remainder of the day. With some time off the bike, Marchbanks is confident he can come back ready to finish off the season at Ironman.
“I’ve had my battles this year trying to overcome injuries, but the team has been so supportive,” said Marchbanks. “It’s hard when you go out there and try to give it your all and it doesn’t turn out how you planned. It’s all a learning experience but hopefully we can finish out the season on a high note.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs at the team semi-truck on Saturday, August 24. Head to the truck in the pits to collect a mandatory wristband for the signing, usually around 9 a.m.
Saturday’s race from the Ironman National will be broadcast on MAVTV for Moto 1 on August 24 at 1 p.m. ET, while the Moto 2 race will be delayed until 11 p.m. ET on NBC Sports. All racing can be found live using an NBC Gold subscription.
