With the continued partnership, North American fans of the MXGPs and the Monster Energy FIM MXoN will be able to keep following the FIM Motocross World Championships on the U.S. and Canadian television screens with the usual format that they have become accustomed to over the past few years. The MXGP and the MX2 rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship will be preeminently aired on a delayed same-day basis.
Additionally, the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in 2018 will return and air Live on CBS Sports Network on October 7th. The MXoN will be back on U.S. soil after eight years to land for the first time at renowned Red Bud MX Circuit in Buchanan, Michigan.
The Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations will benefit each upcoming year of the confirmed complete three-hour coverage of the nation-against-nation competition and its three main-event races, counting as well in top position ranking for live TV.
Starting with the opening round on March 4st, with the idyllic MXGP of Patagonia - Argentina in Neuquen, in 2018 the FIM MXGP and MX2 Championships will travel all over the globe marking the first year in their history with a 20-stop calendar that will conclude a world tour with the MXGP of Imola, Italy on September 30th.
“The continuation for the years to come of this agreement tells itself how solidly the collaboration between the MXGPs and CBS Sports Network has developed”, said Mario Marini, Youthstream’s Director of Corporate Relations. ”This renewal is crucial for us to assure continuity and ease of access to our races on television to the vast legion of U.S. and Canadian MXGP viewers thanks to the consistency provided by CBS Sports Network in programming the MXGPs races at key sport prime-time hours”.
