Final Stretch of Motocross Season Has Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Keeping Eyes on the Prize
CORONA, Calif. (August 7, 2019) – The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team returns to the track after its final weekend break of the season, now focusing on the task at hand with only three rounds remaining in the Pro Motocross Championship. Adam Cianciarulo enters the weekend at Unadilla in New Berlin, New York, as a 28-point favorite with six motos left to race. Teammate Garrett Marchbanks is ready to put in a great weekend after some unfortunate circumstances kept him from a top finish at the previous round in Washington.
The Floridian has been able to bounce back from his second-place rides this season, with Cianciarulo never going more than a single race off the top step of the podium. This trend is one he is looking to continue this weekend at Unadilla, though Cianciarulo will also be keeping in mind the overall objective of the season.
“I’ve had a great season so far and I really want to get back on that top step (of the podium),” said Cianciarulo. “We definitely have an end goal in mind - the championship - but it doesn’t mean I’m not going to go out and fight for that win. I’ve felt really good and the off-weekend always helps to regroup and get you ready to tackle the next race.”
With two races now under his belt since returning - one great and one to forget - Marchbanks has a fire to close out the 2019 season with some positive results aboard his Kawasaki KX250. While he’s never raced at the famed Unadilla track, he’s confident his experience and the solid team support will get him where he wants to be.
“For better or worse, I had to go into the off-weekend with a tough finish, which makes you want to push harder so you can see the results pay off next time,” said Marchbanks. “I know that my team is amazing and I will be a step ahead coming into the weekend, even if it is my first time racing there.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs at the team semi-truck on Saturday, August 10. Head to the truck in the pits to collect a mandatory wristband for the signing, usually around 9 a.m.
Saturday’s race from the Unadilla National will be broadcast on MAVTV for Moto 1 on August 10 at 1 p.m. ET, while the Moto 2 races will be delayed on NBC Sports until 6 p.m. ET. All racing can be found live using an NBC Gold subscription.
